Meet the Mom behind the Methods

Β

The Character Method isn't just a course. It's a mission.

Β

I'm Caroline Harris β€” certified etiquette consultant, founder of The Character Method, and a woman who has spent her entire life learning what it means to show up with excellence.

From the time I was in seventh grade, I was competing at a level most people never experience. I became the first 8th grader in the state of Louisiana β€” and possibly the nation β€” to earn First Team All-State honors in High School Varsity basketball. Before I ever set foot in high school, I had already scored 1,000+ points as a 7th and 8th grader. Β Over the course of my career, I earned six All-District selections, five All-City honors, and four All-State selections as well as playing on a team that was ranked Number 1 in the Nation by USA Today.Β  We also won state championships my junior and senior years. I went on to earn National High School Coaches Association First Team All-American recognition β€” placing me among the top 30 players in the country β€” along with Honorable Mention Kodak All-American and Street & Smith All-American honors.

I didn't achieve any of that by accident. I achieved it because the coaches, teachers, teammates and mentors in my life held me to a standard β€” on the court and off it. They taught me that how you carry yourself matters just as much as how you perform.Β

That excellence isn't a moment. It's a habit.

I carried those lessons into a Division I college career, and then into over 15 years in high-performance pharmaceutical and medical device sales β€” where I consistently ranked in the top 5% nationally. I've sat across the table from physicians, surgeons, and executives in some of the most competitive markets in the country. The confidence, poise, and character it takes to succeed in those rooms? It starts early. Much earlier than most people think.

Today I'm a mom, a real estate professional, and an etiquette consultant β€” and I'm watching a generation of brilliant, talented kids enter a world that forgot to teach them the basics. How to shake a hand. How to look someone in the eye. How to sit at a table, hold a conversation, and walk into a room like they belong there.

Parents are trying. Life is busy. Screens are loud. So I built something to make it easier.

And I didn't build it alone. I built it on the shoulders of the people who poured into me first.

Every course inside The Character Method is guided by a real mentor from my own life β€” someone who shaped my character in ways I still carry today. I've honored their legacies by bringing them back, so they can do for your child what they once did for me.Β

For children ages 7–12 β€” The Etiquette Method features Β my beloved first grade teacher. She was the first person outside my home who made me feel like the way I carried myself truly mattered. She passed away shortly after she taught me, but her lessons never did. I brought her back so your child could learn from her too.

For teenagers β€” coming soon. Β My high school principal embodied discipline, pride, and excellence in everything she did. She didn't just run a school β€” she set a standard. Your teenager is going to meet her.

For young athletes β€” coming soon. My coaches taught me that how you show up to practice is how you show up to life. That lesson carried me through one of the most decorated high school athletic careers in Louisiana history and a Division I college career. Your athlete needs to hear it directly.

These are real legacies. Real lessons. Passed down with intention β€” to your child.
